During the first weekend of October, Scouts from 1st Sheet represented Oakhanger District at the annual Emlyn Trophy. Sheet had never entered the competition before, and this year was special as it is the centenary of the competition. Points were earned for camping skills, cooking skills, a pioneering project, uniform inspection, and various other activities. Sheet Scouts had an amazing time, and came away with two trophies, Best Newcomer and Best Pioneering Project. The judges awarded Sheet Scouts extra points for resilience in the face of adversity, after not one, but two dining shelters blew away in the wind. Several of the Scouts will shortly be moving onto Explorers, and it was a great way to cap off their time in the Scout Section.

Its great to see Sheet Scouts representing the District at County level, and coming away with not one but two trophies reflects the amazing amount of effort from not only the Scouts, but also the volunteer Leaders who give up their time to ensure the Scout are not only prepared for a competition of this nature, but also excel at it.

Well done to you all.
