1st Headley Scout Group were honoured to attend the Beacon of Peace Partners Appreciation Dinner, hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association (AMEA UK). One of their Group Lead Volunteers and Trustees attended the event on behalf of the Group, joining organisations from across the region to celebrate the impact of Beacon of Peace’s charitable work.

About the Beacon of Peace Initiative

Beacon of Peace was founded to serve humanity without regard to colour, creed, nationality, or race. Its mission is to alleviate suffering, support those in need, foster community cohesion, and promote peace and understanding among people from all walks of life.

Run entirely by unpaid volunteers, Beacon of Peace ensures that every penny raised goes directly to charitable causes, with all operational costs covered by membership subscriptions.

Over the decades, Beacon of Peace has helped raise millions of pounds, supporting more than 600 UK-registered charities and funding projects that offer practical help to vulnerable people. Annual charity walks and regional events continue to unite thousands of participants, celebrating generosity, service, and community spirit.

Supporting Scouting in Headley

During the Appreciation Dinner, 1st Headley Scout Group received a generous donation from Beacon of Peace. This support will help us continue providing adventurous, inclusive, and skills-focused Scouting for young people in Headley and the surrounding area, and importantly, ensuring that Scouting remains accessible to all.

A message of thanks from the Group Lead Volunteer Team

“Beacon of Peace is a truly inspiring initiative, one that brings people together, supports hundreds of charities, and strengthens communities through compassion and service. We are incredibly grateful to be one of their partner organisations. Their generosity helps us continue offering exciting and meaningful Scouting opportunities to young people in Headley. We cannot thank them enough for the support they provide, both to us and to so many others.”
